They (extremists) also prepared a banner on which they have clearly threatened our two diplomats and another protest scheduled to be held on July 8, 2023. On July 2, 2023 a video by khalistani extremist was posted on Twitter, showing the act of fire-setting at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. It has also been considered that the video, with the words ‘violence begets violence’ written over it, is reactive act to the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, chief of Canada-based Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF).
Response and Investigation
The vandalism and attempted arson at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco is condemned by the United States, calling it the violence “a criminal offense”.

“We have requested our partner countries like Canada, the United States, the UK and Australia not to give space to the Khalistanis. This will affect our relations. We will raise this poster issue with the government of these countries,” the EAM had said.
